Deborah Dixon

Deborah is the leader and owner of the Pawz and Company. With over 15 years of experience in the veterinary industry, she brings with her a wealth of experience and her passion for taking excellent care of animals. And it is this commitment to animal care, and her client interaction that keeps her connected to the pet industry world.

Deborah has remarkable ease and connection with animals and is often heard saying: "Of all the talents bestowed upon me, the ability to communicate with animals is my greatest gift." To say she loves animals cannot encapsulate her feelings about them, she has loved animals with such passion all her life and remembers fondly every animal trusted to her keeping or crossing her path.

Deborah's varied experience combined with her avid pursuit of continuing education in multiple areas, allows her to provide the highest level of care for your beloved pets. She has spent the last 18 years working with various rescue organizations throughout Canada, ensuring the next forgotten soul finds their forever home. Deborah looks forward to getting to know your furry friends.

My baby, Phoebe, has been groomed here since the Fall of 2016. Pheobe has never been thrilled with the groomers, as she has major anxiety. Pawz and Company's groomer has always expressed that she is calm and Phoebe is great there. I attribute this to a patient, professional and low-key spa environment. I have not been disappointed here. Phoebe finishes out beautifully and done miraculously in usually less than one hour. I used to take her to Pet Smart, who needed 3 hours to groom. I not only am saving time in grooming, but also not driving further for a service that is fantastic right here in City of Kawartha Lakes. They've even started grooming cats. Stay tuned, as my cat Casper, will be having a visit here too and I'll be sure to give you a review. Give it a try, you'll be hooked and your fur baby will likely want to come and play at Daycare too! I drive all the way from Nestleton to Lindsay for daycare, grooming and overnight sleepovers. It's well worth it!

I love Pawz and Company and so does Charlie I never worry about Charlie when he is having a visit at the doggie care. And Debbie and Tammy are great it's like his second home for Charlie it’s the best!

I took my puppy there today for daycare while I was at work. What an absolute positive experience. The facility is incredible, the staff are excellent and passionate about what they do. the best part, my puppy is sound asleep at 9. He had a fantastic time.
